I've not played this myself, but Stu's overall opinion appeared mixed and reflects what I thought of the Ratchett and Clank PSP games. I think it also kind of proves a point that quite often a developer who is brought onto a project created by another developer can find it incredibly difficult to tap into the idea's and feelings that the original developer put into their work. The PSP Jak and Daxter and Ratchett and Clank games personify this, as does Treyarch's attempts at the Call of Duty franchise and Neversofts inclusions into the Guitar Hero franchise.

Admittedly this isn't always the case, we mention F-Zero GX alot on Radio Ninty, but its hard to deny that Amusement Vision (a department of SEGA) really managed to tap into the overall feel of Nintendo's futuristic racing series.

Aye, tis a weird one this cos there's nothing wrong with the game really, playing it the same week as Lego Indy 2 shows it's actually a good game, it's just soooo generic, it has not a single idea of it's own and everything it does is done miles better in Mario games, so it just renders it's existence pointless.

I'd also argue that neversoft have done the Guitar Hero franchise very well, it's more the music included and track selections that have let them down, if anything neversoft have come up with some great ideas that Harmonix need to steal like the casual play, the Wii/DS link up and the 2 player modes...

And hell yeah, F-Zero GX is still amongst my favourite games ever, such a thrill playing that, I might actually now go on ebay and get a new copy.
